His interests are diverse. He has helped train many therapists in the Houston area; he created innovative weekend, supervised social skills activities for teens called GENESIS and his office offers parenting seminars through schools, churches, and companies called “Two Moms and A Shrink!”. He is author of The Executive Coloring & Activity Book! and consults with businesses on topics such as “Corporate Compassion and the Bottom Line!” He is also the creator of The Dope Scope for Parents marijuana scratch-n-sniff cards and The Parents’ Brief Guide to Teenage Substance Abuse.

He is also a member of Spring Branch ISD’s Social and Emotional Advisory Committee.

Although his office works with a variety of problems, Dr.Bob’s own areas of special interest include difficult and underachieving teens, young adults, marriages, eating disorders, alcohol and all the other addictive disorders.

Dr. Bob earned a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Oklahoma State University in 1976. He did his residency at The University of Texas Medical School and, in addition to his private practice, he has been on the adjunct faculty of The University of Texas Medical School and Baylor College of Medicine.

The most meaningful award he has ever received was being named Houston’s Father of the Year in 1998. He’s the proud father of three wonderful children and eight fabulous grandchildren. He’s been married to his childhood sweetheart, Linda, for nearly 50 years.

Come hear how Dr. Bob works with teens, young adults & families, relying on his training, faith and warmth to restore trust and self esteem.
