Speaker: Rick Davis

Not growing up in a Christian home, until age 18, Rick didn't think about much other than beer and girls. At the age of 18, he became consumed with a need to understand if life had any meaning or purpose or if there was any objective right and wrong. This began a difficult 12 years of "existential despair" for him as he struggled with these ultimate questions. By age 30, he had come to consider the claims of Christianity and took his mustard-seed of faith to God and asked for a relationship with him through Jesus. Since then, a primary interest for him has been apologetics, the study of the evidences of God. Today, his faith is much stronger, in part bolstered by the "mountain" of evidence he's found that this Christian faith we share is absolutely, historically true. Today, he spends his days doing a weekly radio show on AM 700 in Houston Sunday mornings at 9 am called "The Things That Matter Most". In addition, keeping up with his 4 grown kids and wife of 28 years, certain ministry duties and his business commitments keeps him busy and purposeful.
