Topic: Building Economies Through God's Love?
Music by Donya Sepulveda

Living Water International is one of the world’s leading faith-based water solutions organizations now working in Asia, Africa and Central and South America. It exists to demonstrate the love of God by providing desperately needed clean water, along with the living water of the gospel of Jesus Christ, which alone satisfies the deepest thirst.

LWI provides potable water through a three-pronged approach of consulting, training and equipping. They provide local and international training in well drilling, pump repair, hygiene education and construction of bio-sand filters. Following site feasibility studies, LWI provides equipment to nationals in operating countries so that they can construct their own water wells. LWI creates new jobs by employing nationals, and purchasing materials in-country whenever possible to stimulate the local economy. Their professional and volunteer staff of engineers, geologists, construction managers, contractors, educators and health professionals serve as consultants to other ministries and relief organizations.

Jerry Wiles, President of Living Water International, is a former pastor and businessman. He received his formal education at Williams Baptist College (AA degree), Middle Tennessee State University (BS degree), University of Maryland (Far East Division, Japan), Union University, University of California (Extension Program), Mid- America Baptist Theological Seminary, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Capernwray Bible School. He also holds an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Hindustan Bible College Madras, India.

Wiles, a U.S. Air Force veteran (1964-68), has traveled to more than 40 countries with his military and ministry activities. He and his wife Sheila have two grown children, Jonathan and Sarah Beth. His hobbies include karate, tennis, walking, reading, and family recreation.
