Join us March 11 as Robert Phillips shares how Sheltering Arms Senior Services (SASS) helps seniors in the Houston area – we are all getting older & many of us have seniors we are (or will become) care givers for. SASS was founded as Christian organization and Robert will share how his faith and the faith of the great staff at SASS guides this great agency.

Sheltering Arms is a non-profit, United Way agency, established in 1893 at Christ Cathedral Church. Since Robert joined Sheltering Arms, the budget has grown from $3 million to a high of $14 million. There is a governing board of 37 volunteers and more than 200 employees serving 87,000 elders and their caregivers annually. He has served on the boards of the Arthritis Foundation, American Lung Association, board of elders in the Presbyterian Church U.S.A., and has served as youth group leader and Sunday school teacher.

Sheltering Arms is the lead agency for Care for Elders, one of 13 partnerships in the nation selected by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation for its community Partnerships for Older Adults program. The Agency is leading over 80 organizations in improving long-term care and supportive services for Harris County’s older adults and their caregivers.

Let's have a good turn-out for Robert! Please bring someone with you.
