Richard White became the Pastor of Tomball United Methodist Church (UMC) in June 2002. Prior to this appointment he served in churches in Tyler, Houston, Santa Fe, and Bellaire.

His primary emphasis of ministry is helping people grow in their relationship to Jesus Christ and to one another, through worship, discipleship, missions, and evangelism. "God has offered us the gift of salvation in order that we might be about the business of good works. If we are not sharing our faith in Christ with others and helping those in need, we fail to understand the dept of God's salvation."

Leading the church to meet the needs of persons with the power of Christ is a top priority of Richard's ministry. He believes that the people of Tomball UMC are its greatest asset. Empowered with a passion for ministry and led by the Holy Spirit, he believes that God has equipped Tomball UMC to reach those who are seeking God. With open hearts, open minds, open doors, Richard aspires to blend a vital relationship with God through Jesus Christ, with meeting the needs of persons.
