It's been said that Bob Smiley has a heart for bringing people closer to God by getting them to laugh at “not so everyday situations.” Of course, that quote came from his Mom who can't understand why the Mavericks never called him when they needed a good point guard. The bottom line is, Bob uses standup comedy as a way to draw people in so he can tell them the good news of Jesus Christ!

This is Bob’s 11th year doing standup comedy! Boy, was his mother in-law wrong about him! Well, at least about the starving artist part. He’s opened for such groups as Newsboys, Toby Mac, Third Day, Switch Foot, and Audio Adrenaline even though his best friend Toby Mac will tell you that Bob doesn't like to name drop. He averages between 80 and 100 shows each year with 70% of those shows being in front of actual people! Lately you might have caught him on the TV show Bananas or seen his new book through Focus on the Family called “Growing Up Super Average: The Adventure’s of Average Boy” which is at Barnes and Noble and any other bookstore. Oh yes, his dad wants us to say that his copy is now on Ebay if anyone wants to make a bid.
