Leah Pullin lives in Houston with her husband Lee and their two young children, Hudson and Grace. In July 2003, at age 34, she was diagnosed with Stage IIIB breast cancer. Her children were 3 years old and 9 months old. Her breast cancer was detected late and was defined as life-threatening - her doctors spoke in "terms of length of life". Now, four years later, she continues to be cancer-free.
Leah refers to her breast cancer as one of the greatest gifts that God has ever given her. God has used His healing of her cancer to allow her to share God's hope with cancer patients, women's groups, and University students in the United States.
Leah traveled to Pakistan in February 2007 to speak in several Universities and to women's groups about breast cancer. Through her breast cancer experience, God has provided a platform for reaching Muslim women for Christ. Currently Leah is involved with the International Mission Board in developing a strategy to reach South Asia Muslim women using Leah's breast cancer story. Prior to going to Pakistan, Leah shared with rural communities in Bangladesh in 2006.
