Representative Corbin Van Arsdale has been a member of the Texas House of Representatives - District 130, since 2003 representing Cypress, Tomball, Copperfield, Hockley, and parts of Klein and Waller. He currently serves on the Calendars, Insurance, and Judiciary Committees. He previously served as Vice Chairman of the Urban Affairs Committee. He serves on the Texas Legislative Council (TLC) with the Speaker, Lieutenant Governor, and eleven other legislators. The TLC provides computers, equipment, research, document distribution/publishing, and bill drafting for the Legislature.
Representative Van Arsdale is a graduate of UT at Austin with degrees in business and law. When he wasn't studying he was a baseball manager. He attended public schools in Texas, California, Louisiana, and South Carolina, and attended private school in France.
A friend to many in the community, Corbin is a fifth-generation Texan living in Tomball with his wife Jacqueline and their girls Madeleine and Dawn, and son Brooks. Corbin is General Counsel for the civil construction firm of Boyer, Inc. in Houston. He likes to read, surf, play guitar, and work on Africa issues. Corbin is active in local service organizations and serves on the boards of several of them. He is a Trustee, Deacon, and Bible Study teacher at his church.
