Guest Speaker: DiAnn Mills, Storyteller and Author

Communicating through the written word is an addiction for DiAnn Mills. Storytelling is in her blood, especially stories in which one or more of the characters are Christian. How these characters solve their problems and take that courageous step over the edge to embrace Jesus is her passion. Whether the story is a romance, suspense, or mystery, the character stands at the edge of the unknown with only their faith in God to sustain them. These are unique characters who stumble and fall only to rise again with renewed strength to carry out God's purpose for their lives.

Isn't this just like us? Jesus spoke in parables when he wanted His meaning to reach the heart of His people. DiAnn’s message to you is the same as the Scripture verse for her writing and speaking ministry: But if I say, "I will not mention him or speak any more in his name," His word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot." Jeremiah 20:9 NIV.

Her prayer is that all of her writing - be it fiction or nonfiction - shows her love for God and a deep desire to carry out His Will.

Currently God has blessed DiAnn with many published books and novellas as well as non fiction articles, devotions, and short stories. She speaks to women's groups and teaches writing workshops. She and her husband are members of Metropolitan Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, and they have four adult sons. She volunteers as a church librarian and teaches ladies Bible study.
