Led by Choir Director Michael Palomaki
The Concordia Lutheran High School Chamber Choir is an advanced 16-voice select choir that is chosen by audition from the larger 77-voice Concert Choir. These students rehearse twice a week before school, on Monday and Thursday from 7:00-7:45am. The Chamber Choir has maintained a high level of excellence in performance over the last decade while consistently earning the highest possible ratings at the TAPPS State Vocal Championships. This group performs primarily upper-level high school and collegiate sacred a cappella repertoire and is committed to sharing God’s Word to its audiences no matter the performance venue.
The choir program at Concordia has been blessed with strong student participation as well as success at the TAPPS State Vocal Championships. The Concert Choir has won the TAPPS 5A or 6A state vocal championship 9 times in the past 12 years, along with 3 runner-up titles. This is a testament to the level of talent and commitment from these students year after year.
The Chamber Choir is conducted by Mr. Michael Palomaki, who holds his Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Concordia University, Nebraska, his Masters in Music – Choral Conducting degree from Sam Houston State University and is currently in his 14th year at Concordia Lutheran High School.
