Speaker: Jennifer Michelle Greenberg
Author and Advocate for Children & Crime Victims
From the outside, Jennifer Greenberg’s childhood looked ideal. Her family read the Bible and prayed together daily. They went to church every Sunday. They home schooled. But it was a home dominated by domestic violence and pornography. Despite the abuse of her “Christian” father, God sustained Jennifer’s faith. Today, she has risen to become one of the foremost voices against child abuse in the Church.
Jennifer and Jason Greenberg have been married for 20 years. They have three little girls named Elowyn, Leianor, and Gwynevere, a white cat named Shadowfax, and a bouncy husky named Luna. They are members of CyLife Baptist Church in Cypress, Texas.
When she’s not making mac n’ cheese or reading to her kids, Jennifer is writing. As the author of Not Forsaken, and most recently, Defiant Joy,Jennifer has risen to become one of the foremost voices against child abuse in the Church.
Not Forsaken is required reading in the Biblical Counseling Course at Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary. It has been purchased multiple times by numerous church and ministry leaders who gift it to colleagues, congregants, and loved ones.
Jennifer has written for The Christian Post, Christianity Today, and The Gospel Coalition (TGC). She has spoken on many radio and television shows and spoken at church and ministry events, including the Jesus Calling, Life Today, and The Caring Well Conference. She has served The Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC) and Evangelical Counsel for Abuse Prevention (ECAP) as an advocate and consultant. Her fortes include developing Christian resources to help leaders, counselors, and parents identify abusers, respond well to crises, and minister to victims wisely and lovingly.
Besides her theological and ministerial writings, Jennifer also enjoys writing Christian adult fantasy, science fiction novels, and composing songs and hymns.
