LORI KLEIN QUINN, MAYOR OF TOMBALL
Tomball’s Mayor Lori Klein Quinn and City Manager David Esquival will share “The State of the City” with us at the January 9th Luncheon.
As of May 2022, Lori has served as Mayor of Tomball. She is a native of Tomball and proud Cougar Graduate of Tomball High School. Lori graduated cum laude from the University of Houston, receiving her B.S. in Accounting. She has over 43 years of experience in public accounting and recently retired from practicing as a CPA and Certified Financial Planner to embrace her responsibilities as Mayor.
Lori is past President of the Women’s Business Forum and the Tomball Business & Professional Women. She was past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce, Rotary International Group Studies Exchange Ambassador to Japan in 1991, and Recipient of the Outstanding Texan Award given to five persons by the Texas Jaycees. She has also been honored with a “Woman of Excellence” award, and Tomball’s Citizen of the Year.
For almost 26 years, she was a member of the Advisory board and also served as financial advisor for Cypress Woodlands Junior Forum and was recognized as their honoree for 2011. Lori was a founding Board Member of the North Harris Montgomery Community College District Foundation, now known as the Lone Star College Foundation.
Lori enjoyed serving as a reoccurring financial expert on KHOU TV Channel 11, Saving Cents, with Sherry Williams. She is past 2012/2013 Chairperson for Circle of Red and American Heart Association/Northwest Harris County Division. Presently, she is a board member of the Christian Business Luncheon.
In May of 2014 and 2020, Lori was elected as councilman serving Position 5 with the City of Tomball, and in 2015 and 2017 served as Mayor Pro Tem. Lori is blessed with 4 daughters and 6 grandchildren. She is a member of Salem Lutheran Church.
DAVID ESQUIVEL, CITY MANAGER OF TOMBALL
David Esquivel grew up in the Texas panhandle in the rural community of Hereford, Texas. He attended Texas Tech University where he earned his bachelors of science degree in Civil Engineering and became a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas. After 6 years in a civil engineering consulting firm in Lubbock, David started his career in municipal government and has been in municipal government for 19 years. He has been with the City of Tomball for eight years, serving as City Manager for past three years.
David and his wife Brandilyn have 3 wonderful kids: twins Nadia and Sophia and son Joaquin.
