Harold is the Engineering Manager for ChemValve, Inc. in Tomball where he is primarily responsible for engineering and quality in the production of fully lined valves.

Following God’s Plan

Prior to ChemValve, Harold worked 28 years in various engineering, R&D, and marketing roles at Compaq and HP.  He retired from HP in November 2018, as a Distinguished Technologist in HP’s Emerging Compute Lab.   His roles at HP focused on wireless technology, input devices, optics, security, video conferencing & collaboration, and technology strategy.

Prior to joining Compaq, Harold served as an officer in the United States Air Force at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, where he performed research on air crew optical systems. During his service Harold was a principal investigator of an experiment that flew on DOD space shuttle missions.

Harold holds a Master of Science Degree in Electrical Systems Engineering from Wright State University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics from Texas Christian University. He has 16 granted patents and more than 20 publications.

Harold has been married to his wife Kara for 34 years.  They have two adult children.  Austin is a US Army Infantry Officer stationed at Ft Bragg, NC.  Victoria just completed her degree in education and looks forward to beginning her career as a junior high math teacher this fall.

Harold and Kara are residents of Lakewood Forest and have been members of Windwood Presbyterian Church for 25 years, where Harold has served in many areas and is ordained as an Elder and a Deacon. He has been a leader of adult Sunday school classes for over 20 years.

Harold enjoys home and ranch projects, staying fit, gardening, reading, bow hunting, and shooting.  He is a lifetime member of the NRA, a Certified Instructor for Rifle and Shotgun, and a Range Safety Officer. He served several years on the Troop Committee of BSA Troop 928 and as the 928 Venture Crew Leader.  He has traveled to 50 states and 21 countries.
